Gray & Joella Gifford

Gray Gifford was born in Renton, Washington. He has 10 siblings and has spent most of his life in American Fork, Utah. Gray served a mission in Oslo, Norway. Gray married Lisa Myers in 1989. They have 4 boys Austin (Charity), Bronson (Chey), Lincoln (Pearl) and Logan. Gray received his associate’s degree in drafting from Utah Valley University. He has been employed with Visa for 25 years. Lisa died in 2018 due to colon cancer.

Joella Gifford was born in Concord, California. She is the oldest of three children. She married Shawn
Shanklin in 1992. They have 5 children Brady (Allison), Justin (Macy), Carter (Melissa), Kennedy (Austin), and Ryker. Joella studied sociology and received her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University
and has been a stay-at-home mom for 30 years. Joella currently serves on the board of the Bradley Grief
Center, where she is the Utah County Director. Shawn died in 2016 due to an infection that attacked his
heart.

Gray and Joella married in 2019. Joella and Gray enjoy riding their SXS, gardening and going on date nights in their free time. They especially love their 7 grandchildren. Gray currently serves as the Ward Mission Leader and Joella serves as the Young Women President in their ward. They have one son serving a mission and another son a senior in high school. They currently reside in American Fork, Utah.
